Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Job Description

Specifically, the Full Stack Software Engineer would have the following skills:

  • 4-5 years of commercial software development experience.
  • PHP 5 / 7 (preferably Laravel 5 experience)
  • Python
  • Javascript / CSS / HTML

What does the average workday look like?

  • Participate in an "Agile team," steeped in JiT practices, as well as pair programming, unit testing and peer review.

  • Work on an existing PHP and Python platform, and on the ongoing programme of evolving that platform that delivers excellent services to Homebuyers and Real Estate Professionals.

  • Work closely with DevOps particularly on Docker and automated deployments

Qualifications

Skills & Requirements

  • PHP 5 / PHP 7
  • Python 2.6.x / 3.5.x
  • JavaScript / HTML / CSS
  • Git / Mercurial proficient
  • Comfortable with Linux deployment environments
  • Has some experience with AWS / GoogleCloud / Azure (one of)
  • 5+  years of software development experience.  
  • Experience in API Implementation 
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies 
  • Strong English Proficiency 
  • Computer Science or related College Degree or equivalent experience

We will hire someone that cares about building great products and take ownership to ensure quality and have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of software engineering and computer science. Someone who could write good code in any (reasonable) programming language and can act as a mentor/thought leader for a team of engineers with various levels of experience. 

We give special consideration to applicants who know how to do full stack development in a high traffic website, understand more than one programming paradigm and have mastered at least one programming language.
