Cainta – The Future Rises in the East

The first-class municipality of Cainta, accessible through Ortigas Avenue Extension, Marcos Highway, and C-6 Road, has in itself become a center for commerce and industry for Rizal and the surrounding region. Thanks to its proximity to many of Metro Manila's business districts, Cainta has become a popular address for employees and executives alike.

City Living at the Outskirts of the City

Straddling the Marikina and Pasig rivers, Cainta is one of Rizal's population centers. It has a rich history, tied closely to the neighboring cities of Pasig and Antipolo, as a trade and residential hub. After the British invasion of the late 18th century, foreign soldiers of Indian descent intermarried with the townspeople, making Cainta one of the country's most ethnically diverse municipalities.

After the war, Cainta grew in stature as an industrial center, with commerce centered around manufacturing and distribution. Residential subdivisions started to accommodate families who were seeking refuge from the hurried pace of city life. With the opening of Ortigas Avenue Extension, access to Metro Manila's main business and financial districts became easier. Shopping malls, such as Robinson's East and Santa Lucia, established Cainta's reputation as a hotspot for great deals and excellent dining.

Cainta rebuilt itself quickly after the flooding that hit Central Luzon in 2009. Flood-control measures were put into place, waterways were rehabilitated, and builders began to adopt stricter quality controls. Thus, while it is not entirely immune to the forces of nature, Cainta is a much safer, cleaner, and stronger municipality that implements the best practices in urban planning and management.

Buying a Condo in Cainta

Being connected to Metro Manila by a multitude of transportation options, Cainta is the ideal address for employees working in the business districts of Ortigas Center, Makati, and Fort Bonifacio. Real estate firms, such as Empire East Land, have built reasonably-priced condominium developments close to the main roads. Among these are Manila East Residences and Cambridge Village. Condo units sell for as low as P550,000 to P2.35 million, and have all the amenities expected of high-end subdivisions, such as round-the-clock security, swimming pools, and sports facilities.
